Eric H. Kahan, Esq.

Eric H. Kahan joined the firm in early 1994 and became a partner shortly thereafter in 1998. Mr. Kahan is an integral part of the management and development of the firm’s business and infrastructure including the implementation of state of the art case management software.

Mr. Kahan represents clients in a wide variety of real estate transactions and litigation. He has been counsel to developers, buyers, and sellers on both simple and complex real estate transactions including, but not limited to, 1031 tax deferred exchanges, industrial development agency financing, tax credit developments and mortgage refinances. In addition, Mr. Kahan represents owner/landlord clients as well as tenants in the negotiation and preparation of commercial leases and net leases which have included triple net lease transactions involving properties valued at over 100 million dollars.

Mr. Kahan's litigation practice and experience is extensive. He has been counsel to both landlords and tenants involved in lease disputes before the New York City Housing Courts, Civil Court and New York State Supreme Court. Mr. Kahan has spent more than twenty years studying and honing his skills in the court room in order to provide skillful analyses of issues and client representation in both commercial and residential holdover and non-payment proceedings. In addition, Mr. Kahan has successfully represented numerous clients involved in litigation with local and state agencies and in a myriad of contractual disputes involving buyers and sellers of real property.

Mr. Kahan received his J.D. from the Tulane University School of Law, graduating Cum Laude, and his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin.
